Elisabeth Lohninger & Travon Anderson
with the Walter Fischbacher Trio

ENGLISH

Detroit and New York. Gospel, Neo-Soul, and Jazz. Two vocalists at the top of their game join forces to move, to mesmerize, to raise up their audience. Accompanied by the Walter Fischbacher Trio, the quintet weaves a spell-binding fabric of resilience, inspiration and joy.

Austrian-American vocalist Elisabeth Lohninger has proven herself to be a powerful and elusive talent. Singing Austrian folk music with her sisters at a young age, Elisabeth has since performed at international jazz festivals and jazz clubs worldwide, releasing 12 albums under her name in the process. Her lyric alto voice is tailor-made to express the myriad of colors and shades of the Human condition. Recent albums such as "Soul Garden" and "Eleven Promises" showcase her adventurous spirit and deep love of song. Her music, though rooted in jazz, defies genre definition. Style serves song. Her songs run deep. And in Elisabeth's book, that's all that really matters.

Travon Anderson grew up singing in church in his native Detroit. His musical curiosity led him to study classical music and jazz at the Mosaic Youth Theater of Detroit. In 2003, he was selected as the Regional winner in Classical and Contemporary music for the NAACP ACT-SO competition. Leadership roles followed at Western Michigan University, where Travon served as Praise Team Leader and Choir Director. Travon then became a member of Gold Company II, a prestigious jazz ensemble under the supervision of Steve Zegree. In 2012 he was awarded 1st prize in the Detroit Sparkle Singing Competition. In 2014 Travon relocated to New York City, where he continues to strive for greatness and perfecting his craft.

GERMAN

Detroit und New York.
