press release:

With “Chillin” phishbacher have set out to re-invent the sound of the piano trio. Drawing from a plethora of influential artists such as Herbie Hancock, EST and Michel Camilo, they have merged the ethereal with groove, brain with guts and spirit with virtuosity.

Stylistically diverse and yet unified by the distinctive sound of the trio, “Chillin” takes the listener on a journey of frivolously laid-back groovin’ (the opener “Bloomish”), ephemeral balladin’ (“EZ Breezie”), virtuoso afro-cuban partyin’ (“Pootish”) and the occasional acoustic chillin’ (“Return to Nowhere”). These cats are tight, swinging and digging in like there is no tomorrow..

On the upcoming tour ins spring 2007featuring:
Walter Fischbacher on piano, Lukáš Kytnar on bass and Otto Hejnic on drums.
