Beat Kaestli & Walter Fischbacher trio

This year Beat Kaestli is for the first time supported by the renowned Walter Fischbacher Trio, bringing his infectious blend of Jazz, R&B and World music to Europe. Having performed the all over the world for many years, Fischbacher is a New York based pianist, composer and recording engineer. He is a successful recording artist and band leader, including the celebrated trio “Phisbacher”, performing around the globe for over a decade. Petr Dvorsky is an integral part of the Czech Jazz scene since the early 90’s and his exceptional bass work has gained him many awards and nominations, including several nominations for “Talent of the Year” at The Czech Jazz Society Awards. Moving between Berlin, New York and Vienna drummer Andy Winter rounds up the stellar line up. After studying in New York he has performed with noteworthy artists, like Brad Meldau, Larry Goldings and Ron Carter, to name a few, and his versatility has lead him from Jazz to R&B and Gospel, as well as the sensational Cirque du Soleil and work for the Broadway stage and on popular TV shows.



Beat Kaestli ist ein international anerkannter Sänger, Songwriter, Produzent und Arrangeur. 1993 siedelte er nach New York um, um dort mit Stipendium sein Studium an der renommierten Manhattan School of Music zu vollenden und 2008 seine Masters am Queens College mit dem Ella Fitzgerald Stipendium abzuschliessen. Er studierte neben zeitgenössischen Jazzgrössen wie Jane Monheit, Jason Moran und Stefon Harris und etablierte sich bald in der brodelnden Jazzscene Manhattan’s. Seither spielt er u.a. mit Esperanza Spalding, Jon Hendricks, Clarence Penn, Hendrik Meurkens, Billy Drummond und Victor Prieto in Clubs wie das Blue Note, Birdland und dem JazzStandard, in New York und im Jahr 2005 sang er mit dem weltbekannten Glenn Miller Orchestra. Seit dem Release des Kritikerlieblings “Happy Sad and Satisfied” in 2006 tourt er weltweit mit seinen eigenen Projekten und praesentiert seine Musik an bekannten Festivals und in Clubs in den USA, Kanada, Mexico und Europa. In 2009 veröffentlichte er seinen europäischen Songtribut “Far From Home” (B+B Productions) und 2010 war der internationale Release von “Invitation”, mit dem renommierten New York label Chesky Records, welches wieder ganz dem amerikanischen Standard gewidmet war. Diese CD brachte einen 12 monatigen Showcase auf Swiss Airlines und beide CDs, “Far From Home” und “Invitation”, waren Teil der Official 2010 GRAMMY Selection for “Best Jazz Vocal Album”. Seine Musik wird in Radio und TV gespielt und diesen Herbst wird auch seine neuste CD “Collage” bei Swiss Air International vorgestellt.

Zum ersten mal unterstützt vom hochkarätigen Walter Fischbacher Trio bringt Beat Kaestli einen aufregenden Mix aus Jazz, R&B und Weltmusik nach Europa. Walter Fischbacher ist ein Östereicherischer Pianist, Komponist und Studioingenieur mit einer erfolgreichen Solo- und Bandleaderkarriere, u.A. auch mit seinem bekannten Trio "Phishbacher". Er lebt in New York und seit über 15 Jahren tourt er die Welt und ist auch speziell in Tschechien und Slovakien ein gern gesehener Gast.

Petr Dvorsky ist seit den frühen 90er Jahren ein wichtiger Teil der Tschechischen Jazzszene und wurde durch sein versiertes und kraftvolle Basspielen u.A. auch von den "Czech Jazz Society Awards" als "Talent des Jahres " nomminiert.

Der östereichische Schlagzeuger, Andy Winter, pendelt zwischen Berlin, New York und Wien hin und her und rundet mit seiner perfekten Time diese außergewöhnliche Besetzung wunderbar ab. Er studierte in NYC und spielt seither mit Jazzgrößen, wie z.B. Brad Meldau, Larry Holdings und Ron Carter, und seine Vielseitigkeit führten ihn vom Jazz zum R&B und Gospel zu Cirque de Soleil und Broadway, sowie TV- und Radio Shows .
