Johanna Schneider, originally from Bamberg, shows a musical maturity that belies her years. An adventurous yet meticulous vocalist, she stretches across genres while honoring the greats of jazz. Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday are evoked, but Johanna Schneider doesn’t stop there. She brings a freedom to her singing that wells up from her roots. Mentored by Romy Camerum at Folkwand University in Essen, she is now making her mark by freely flowing between her elegant lyricism and tumultuous streams of fearless energy.
