Throughout the years, Phishbacher has featured extraordinary staples of both the US and European music scene. The band's latest line-up features Steve Clarke on bass and Chris Stanley on drums, two of the finest groovers and shakers on the US side of the Atlantic. The flavor of this outfit is distinctly funky, with Mr. Stanley providing an impossibly tight back beat to Mr. Clarke's thumping bass lines. Walter Fischbacher draws from a vast musical background encompassing not only classical piano repertoire but also the music of jazz piano greats such as Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea. Merging distinct flavors from different corners of the world, this 2008 version of Phishbacher brings 70s Funk into the 21st Century.
