Throughout the years, Phishbacher has featured extraordinary staples of both the US and European music scene. The band's latest line-up features New York City based Yutaka Uchida, a highly sought-after musician in the New York City jazz scene, on drums, and Germany based Goran Vujic on bass, bringing some European flavor to the mix.
The vibe of this outfit is distinctly funky, with Mr. Uchida providing an impossibly tight back beat to Mr. Vujic's thumping bass lines. Merging distinct flavors from different corners of the world, this 2010 version of Phishbacher brings 70s Funk into the 21st Century.

Phishbacher New York Electric Trio, the outfit around Austrian/New York pianist Walter Fischbacher, presents an infectiously grooving, wildly entertaining yet highly sophisticated set of original compositions and covers, ranging from the drum & bass version of the Beatles' "I Want You" to the Latin jazz tune "Valmez", via the gorgeously moody ballad "Mellow Moon Moaning".

Tenor saxophonist Sean Nowell from Birmingham, Alabama, is a frequently featured artist, his play steeped in the southern traditions of blues, gospel, jazz, and funk fused with the complex harmonic and world rhythmic concepts that permeate the music of New York City.. Merging distinct flavors from different corners of the world, this 2010 version of Phishbacher brings 70s Funk into the 21st Century.
